• Assessing and consulting on the likely impact of proposed polices and procedures on the promotion of equality issues.
• Monitoring policies for any adverse impact on the promotion of equality issues.
• Publishing the results of assessments, consulting with organisations and communities and continually monitoring.
• Ensuring public access to information and services so no one is disadvantaged
• Training staff to respond to the legal requirements so they can deal with the problems at hand.
